Do I need previous barista experience? +
No previous experience is required. We start from the fundamentals, teaching espresso extraction, grinders, milk texturing, coffee recipes, cleaning procedures and the basic workflow used in Melbourne cafés.
How long is the Barista Course? +
The course runs for approximately four hours and combines practical hands-on training with easy-to-follow coffee theory. You'll spend most of your time working on commercial espresso machines while developing confidence behind the coffee bar.
Will I receive a certificate? +
Yes. Every student receives a hard copy Certificate of Completion at the end of the course. Many students choose to include it on their resume when applying for hospitality or café positions.
Is this course enough to get a barista job? +

Do you teach latte art in this course? +
This course focuses on espresso preparation, milk texturing and café workflow. While you'll learn to texture silky milk correctly, detailed latte art patterns such as hearts, tulips and rosettas are covered in our dedicated Latte Art Course.
Do you use alternative milks? +
We train using full cream milk because it produces the most consistent texture and is the standard used in most cafés. Alternative milks may be available if students would like to drink them, but practical milk training is completed using full cream milk.
Where is the course held? +
All Barista Courses are held at our Melbourne CBD training studio. Your confirmation email includes the full address, arrival instructions and everything you need before your class.
What should I bring? +
Simply wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes. You're welcome to bring a notebook if you'd like to take notes, but most importantly bring your enthusiasm and be ready for plenty of hands-on practice.
