Booking & Course Policies
Clear policies designed to protect your place, our small class sizes, and the hands-on learning experience every student deserves.
Your booking reserves more than a seat.
I Am Barista classes are intentionally kept small so every student receives meaningful hands-on practice, equipment access and personalised guidance. Once a booking is completed, your place is reserved and we begin preparing the materials and resources required for your training. Our booking policies help us protect that experience for every student.
Rescheduling at a glance
The amount of notice provided determines whether a rescheduling administration fee applies.
Bookings are final once completed.
Please make sure you are able to attend before completing your booking. Once payment has been completed, we do not accept cancellations or provide refunds for change of mind or inability to attend.
Your place is reserved for you
Once your booking is confirmed, that place is removed from availability and can no longer be offered to another student while it remains reserved for you.
Materials are prepared in advance
We prepare course materials, ingredients and training resources according to confirmed attendance. Where required, purchase orders for materials are issued following confirmed bookings.
Missed classes and no-shows
Missed classes, late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. Eligibility to move a booking to another date is determined by the rescheduling policy below.
Plans change. Notice makes the difference.
If you cannot attend your original class, we allow one reschedule per booking. The applicable administration fee depends on how much notice is provided before the scheduled starting time.
A booking can only be rescheduled once. After a new class date has been selected, that date is final.
More than 72 hours' notice — Free
Your booking may be moved to another available session at no additional charge.
48–72 hours' notice — $40
A $40 rescheduling administration fee applies to move the booking to another available session.
24–48 hours' notice — $60
A $60 rescheduling administration fee applies to move the booking to another available session.
Less than 24 hours' notice — No rescheduling
Requests received less than 24 hours before the scheduled class are considered a late cancellation/no-show. The booking cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled. A new booking will be required to attend another class.
Second rescheduling is not available. If you are unable to attend your rescheduled class, the booking will be forfeited and cannot be cancelled, refunded or moved again.

These conditions help classes run on time and ensure every student receives the practical training included in their course.
Late Arrivals & Attendance
- Please arrive on time for your scheduled class.
- Courses begin with demonstrations and important training information.
- Late entry may not be possible once training has commenced.
- Course finishing times remain unchanged for late arrivals.
- Late arrival does not qualify for a refund, replacement class or additional training time.
- Failure to attend will be treated as a no-show.
Alternative Milk Usage
- Training includes guidance on working with alternative milks.
- Alternative options may include oat, soy and almond milk.
- Alternative milks are available for drink preparation and tasting.
- To minimise unnecessary waste, general steaming practice is completed primarily with full cream milk.
