Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about training at I Am Barista Coffee School, from class sizes and certificates to café preparation, rescheduling and what to expect on the day.
Rather than focusing only on certificates, we place strong emphasis on developing practical ability and helping students understand how coffee service works in a real café environment.
This makes it easy to share your training with cafés or employers while allowing them to confirm that your certificate was genuinely issued by I Am Barista Coffee School.
You train in a dedicated coffee studio using commercial espresso equipment, with small groups and direct trainer support. Our courses are structured around practical experience rather than spending most of the session watching demonstrations.
Depending on the course you choose, you can develop skills in espresso extraction, grinder adjustment, milk texturing, café workflow and latte art.
Since opening, thousands of students have trained with us, helping us build a strong community and reputation around practical coffee education and supportive teaching.

We also explain how alternative milks behave differently when steaming. Options such as oat, soy or almond milk may be available for drink preparation or tasting, but are not used for general practice in order to minimise unnecessary waste.
