WHY THIS PROGRAM WORKS

Built around real café expectations

Melbourne café trials move fast. Most students do not fail because they cannot make coffee — they fail because they panic under pressure, lose workflow, or do not understand what cafés actually expect. This program is designed to close that gap.

Barista Course Melbourne

Learn café workflow properly

Learn grinder awareness, milk texturing, espresso extraction, consistency and workflow according to Melbourne café standards. This is not just about “making coffee” — it is about understanding how cafés actually operate.

Practise before your first trial

Trial simulations help students understand pressure, timing, communication and consistency before entering a real café environment. We focus on building calmness and confidence, not just technique.

Everything you need to know before joining our job-focused barista training pathway in Melbourne.

Who is the I Am Ready to Work program for?
This program is designed for students who want to become more confident before applying for café and barista jobs in Melbourne. It is ideal for beginners, international students, and anyone who wants more practice, structure, and support than a standard barista course.
How many hours is the Ready to Work program?
The Ready to Work program includes approximately 13 hours of training. This includes Barista Course training, Latte Art training, an online theory check, and two guided trial simulation sessions.
What classes are included in the program?
The program includes the Barista Course, Latte Art Course, an online theory test, Trial Simulation 1, and Trial Simulation 2. These sessions are designed to build skills step by step, from espresso and milk texturing to latte art consistency, grinder adjustment, workflow, speed, and pressure practice.
Is this program suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. The program is suitable for beginners, but it is best for students who are serious about improving and preparing for café work. The course starts with barista foundations and then progresses into more focused practice and trial preparation.
Does this program guarantee a barista job?
No, this program does not guarantee employment or include job placement. However, it is designed to help students build confidence, improve practical skills, understand café expectations, and prepare more effectively for barista interviews and café trials.
What are the trial simulations?
Trial simulations are guided practice sessions designed to help students understand what a real café trial can feel like. They focus on latte art consistency, grinder adjustment, dial-in, workflow, speed, customer-style pressure, and final feedback.
Why is there an online test?
The online theory test helps confirm that students understand the key concepts from the Barista and Latte Art classes before moving into trial simulations. It supports better preparation and helps students feel more confident before practical trial-style sessions.
Do I receive a certificate?
Yes. Students receive certificates of completion for the relevant training components. These can be added to a resume when applying for hospitality or café positions.
Can I reschedule my Ready to Work sessions?
Ready to Work sessions are fixed because the program is carefully structured with limited intake dates and very small groups. Rescheduling is not permitted, so students must be able to commit to all selected dates before booking.
How many students are in each session?
Barista and Latte Art classes are kept small, with a maximum of 4 students. Trial simulation sessions are even smaller, usually capped at 2 students, allowing more focused feedback and practice time.
Is Ready to Work better than the Value Pack?
The Value Pack is a great entry point because it includes Barista and Latte Art training. Ready to Work is a more complete pathway for students who want additional preparation, trial simulations, resume guidance, and more confidence before applying for café jobs.
